What is W-Sport?

W-Sport is the premier destination for women’s sports - a platform that champions elite athletes, delivers world-class coverage, and inspires the next generation through the power, grace, and passion of women in sport.

Who can access W-Sport and is is available abroad?

W-Sport is available across multiple territories, reaching audiences in Europe, Africa, and beyond. You can access W-Sport by visiting www.w-sport.tv or by downloading the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.


Please note that W-Sport is only available in selected countries listed below and cannot be accessible outside these regions.

How to get started?

You can access W-Sport by launching the web portal at www.w-sport.tv or by downloading the W-Sport app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Do I need to register?
What information is required for registration?

During registration, you’ll create a username (your email address) and a password. These can be used to log in anytime across all supported devices.

What happens after registration?

You’ll receive a welcome email at the address you provided. This email will guide you on how to enjoy the latest live events and catch-up action from the world of women’s sport on W-Sport.

How do I start watching?
For PCs and Macs:

Use the W-Sport web portal via www.w-sport.tv using your preferred browser. Subscribe to a package and start streaming — never miss a moment of the action.

For iPhone and iPad:

Open the Apple App Store, search for W-Sport, download the app.

For Android phones and tablets:

Open Google Play Store, search for W-Sport, download the app.

Subscription packages

What subscription packages are available?


W-Sport offers monthly and annual packages to give you access to sport content in a way that suits you.

  • Monthly subscription: access content for 30 days from date of purchase.
  • Annual subscription: access content for 365 days from date of purchase.

Both packages are non-recurring. When your subscription expires, you can simply subscribe again.

How do I subscribe?
  • Go to the Packages page and select your preferred subscription option.
  • Note for iPhone/iPad users: Subscriptions must be completed via a PC, Mac, or iPad web browser. In-app purchases are not supported on iOS devices.
  • Choose PayPal as your payment method.
  • Log in to your PayPal account or create a new one.
  • Enter the required details to complete your purchase.
  • Once payment is successful, your subscription will be activated, giving you full access to stream all content.
How do I cancel my subscription?
  • Go to the "My account" section.
  • Select active packages.
  • Choose "cancel subscription";.

Note: You will still have access to content until the subscription expiry date.

Account Features

I have registered my profile, what features can I enjoy?.

  • Favourites: Add content to your favourites, accessible under My Account.
  • Follow Me Technology: Pick up where you left off on any device (does not apply to live content).
  • Download Content: Available on mobile devices for offline viewing.
  • Reminders: Set reminders for upcoming content.
  • Playlists: Create and manage custom playlists.
  • Multiple Devices: Use up to 3 devices per account with 2 concurrent streams.
  • Screen Casting:
  • Sub-Profiles: Create sub-profiles so everyone in the household has a personalized viewing experience.
  • Parental Controls: Manage what content children can access.
  • Catch-Up: Watch select games or action you may have missed.

What devices are supported by W-Sport?
  • PCs, Macs, Android smartphones, iOS smartphones, tablets, Google Chromecast.
Which browsers are supported by W-Sport?
  • Windows 8.1 and higher
  • Browsers:
    • Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11+
  • Mac: Safari, Google chrome and Firefox 35+
  • Mobile devices:
    • iPhone/iPad: iOS 14+
    • Android phones or tablets: Android 4.1+

Important for iPhone/iPad users: You need to subscribe using a PC, Mac, or iPad web browser. Once subscribed, you can stream on any supported device, including iPhone. (In-app purchases are not available on iOS.)

What is the video quality like

W-Sport utilises a special streaming technology known as Adaptive Bit Rate technology which automatically adapts to your Internet connection speed and your device. The higher your Internet connection speed, the better the video quality will be. If you have a high-speed Internet connection (4Mbps and higher), you will get the best video quality. If you have a low-speed Internet connection speed (1 to 2Mbps and lower), you will still be able to watch video content, but not at the best quality we provide.

Do I pay for data when using W-Sport?

Yes. Streaming uses data, which will be billed by your Internet Service Provider.

What internet line speed do I need to use W-Sport?

You will require a minimum speed of 2Mbps, but we recommend a 4Mbps (or faster) line to ensure consistent stream and a great viewing experience, especially if you have more than one user on the line or multiple devices streaming at the same time. W-Sport's Adaptive Bit Rate technology automatically adapts to your Internet connection speeds and your device. Thanks to this technology, you will be able to use W-Sport at broadband speeds as low as 512kbps. The higher your Internet connection speed, the better the video quality will be.

Can I use W-Sport on multiple devices?

Yes. You can register up to three devices on your account, with a maximum of two concurrent streams at the same time.

Where can I manage my account?

Registered customers manage accounts via "My Account" section. From here, you can:

I forgot my password — what now?

Click on "forgot your password" on the login screen. Follow the on-screen instructions and you’ll be able to reset your password using your registered email.

I don't know my username and password?
  • Your username is the email address you used when signing up.
  • You set your password during registration.
  • If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot your password” on the login page to reset it.
I cannot log in
  • Double-check that you are entering the correct email address and password created during sign-up.
  • If you have forgotten your password, click “Forgot your password” to reset it.
I cannot see any watch button
  • Ensure you have an active internet connection.
  • Confirm that you are subscribed to a valid package.
  • If the issue persists, contact support at support@w-sport.tv
Video is not playing

Please check your Internet connection. If you do not have any Internet connection, you will see a message notifying you that you are not currently connected. If you have an Internet connection but you still cannot watch the video (you either have a blank screen or a loading indicator), this means that your Internet connection is too slow or poor to watch a video. Please use an Internet connection with at least a 512Mbps speed. For best results, a connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps should be used.

Download process

To download an asset, ensure you are logged in and have an active subscription. Simply select the content you want and choose the download option.

What download options are available for me?
  • Download Now: The asset will be downloaded immediately.
  • Schedule Download: : Enable “schedule download” in your download settings. Ensure your device is connected to the internet for scheduled downloads to work.
Which devices are downloads available on?

Downloads are supported and available on Android and iOS mobile devices only.

Can I close the app while downloading?

Yes, your download will continue to run in the background even if the app is closed.

What happens if I lose internet connectivity during a download?

The download will pause automatically and will resume once your device reconnects to the internet.

Do I need internet to download content?

Yes. An internet connection is required to download. Make sure your Wi-Fi is enabled or your mobile data is turned on.

What is the main purpose of the POPI act?

The purpose is to regulate the Processing of Personal Information. It is aimed to encourage the flow of information in a secure and responsible manner. The spirit of the Act is to ensure that organisations that hold and process personal information do so carefully and with respect for the rights and interests of the people to whom it pertains.

How do we get your consent to communicate with you?

We will provide you with the choice to consent or not by asking you to Opt-In to communication upon registration on our platform. The consent will be related to a specific purpose as stipulated within the communication.

Can we email or SMS you to sell/market to you?

Yes, we can if we provide you with the option to opt-out. During the registration process we give you the option to select to receive email/marketing communication. Within every communication you will receive from us, we will provide you with the option to opt out. This communication will continue to be sent until you request us to stop. Under the POPI Act, we will only be able to direct market on an opt-in basis – if you have not selected to receive/not receive communication from us, we will send out an email that will enable you to either agree or not agree to receive communication.
